如果 DNA 是電影劇本，記載著生物體應該演出什麼樣的電影。 RNA 就像依劇本拍攝出來的影片片段，需再透過「剪接」才能組成劇情相符的電影，而細胞內的「剪接師團隊」就由五個小核核醣核酸及多種蛋白因子、蛋白複合體分工合作。
